[Machines do not lie]

“Maschinen lügen nicht– Machines do not lie” was the theme of the exhibition Tim Wolff gave today at the Nusser & Baumgart Gallery. Tim’s works within the lines act like words and he puts them together into new constructions and ever new assemblies. It is like he is seeking for the basic language everyone spoke before, before culture was even invented … a long time before, a long time before everything became so complicated … and the machines speak this language today, and they speak it simple, clear and easy. The machines they shout it out at us in a straight way. The machines, they don’t care, they don’t lie. [Thanx for a great evening with a lot of philosophical impulse and thanx for being there with such nice people]

In a hidden room, behind draperies, a massive video-play is waiting for you. You have to watch this clash of commercials and cut-outs, put together into a damn nice screening, absorbing the mind and spilling out a lot of inspiration into the brains of the people consuming it at all times. Five TVs, in a set, producing an atmosphere of confusion and desire. The sound of the thing really got me freaking. You have to feel the basslines and the choreography of the screens together with their own single sounds; it’s mind-blowing … well done Tim! The exhibition will last till the 8th of April.
